GW Tourism for Tomorrow (GW TFT) was founded by a group of graduate students in 2004 in order to supplement the activities undertaken by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (DTHM) and to provide support for fellow students interested in sustainable tourism. Since its inception, the organization has broadened its purpose to facilitate interaction between all students, alumni and faculty associated with the DTHM by creating opportunities for these groups to come together both socially and professionally. The organization as a whole embraces the principles of responsible tourism and sustainable tourism practices. GW TFT exists for the students of the DTHM and others interested in responsible and sustainable tourism practices.
