Next Book Drive Spring 2006 Book Drive
Collecting Locations: GW Bookstore @ Marvin Center (800 21st Street, ground level)
Date: Tuesday, May 9 - Tuesday, May 16 Hours: 12 noon - 5 pm All Volunteers -- It's almost time for the Spring 2006 Book Drive, and we need to start scheduling volunteers for each of the shifts. For those of you who participated in the Fall 2005 Book Drive, the upcoming drive will run the same way -- two shifts per day (volunteers will meet at the office in Marvin Center Room 422 to pick up the supplies, go down to the book store, empty the collection bins and count and box books and leave the boxes in the office until pick ups are scheduled). The book drive will run from Tuesday, May 9 to Tuesday, May 16 and the shifts will be each day at 12 noon and 5 pm. Those are the basics - I will send out more details to the participating volunteers - so please email me at miriamb@gwu.edu if you would like to help out. Send me your name, email, and cell phone if possible as well as which date/time you would like to volunteer. Changes can be made to shifts (in advance, not the day of!) but it's really important that you are responsible for the shifts you take, because other members will be counting on your help. The book drive is during finals...which means everyone has finals...so try to volunteer for a shift you are SURE you can show up for. This book drive is sure to be another success!! Miriam Bamberger, Book Drive Director If you are a university representative and would like to organize a book drive at your campus email us at b4africa@gwu.edu. |
