Her Bio Adette
was born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines in a subdivision named
after pineapples, but one fateful day about 8 years ago, her family
sold everything, hopped on a plane, and left the palm trees, the
beaches, and the wonderful pollution and corruption that only Adette
can call Home.
America came as a shock to Adette and her
family. Her new status of Permanent Resident Alien led her to ponder
such profound questions as the following: "Why is it called a 'Green
Card'?" and "What exactly is the point of 'April Fool's Day'?" and "Why
are Americans so obsessed with throwing pies at each others' faces?"
Her
independent spirit got the best of her as she sought to answer these
mind-boggling questions. On her search for answers, she decided to
attend the Illinois Math and Science Academy, a boarding school in the
middle of Aurora (Bufu), IL. There, she remained imprisoned in the
bubble for 3 years, but luckily enough, she met some very important
people along the way. These VIP's will forever be a part of her, no
matter where in the country they may be.
Because of the 3
years at IMSA, she was exposed to unparalleled nerdiness and discovered
the joy of free music. Some of her favorite artists range from Shakira
to the Beatles, Billy Joel to Ben Folds, BNL to Pearl Jam, The Corrs,
Fiona Apple, Lea Salonga, Lauryn Hill, the Indigo Girls, Sister Hazel,
Frank Sinatra to TLC to Jewel. Needless to say, music makes her
happy, and when she came to GW, she wandered around like lost freshmen
do, but she was soon taken in by a very happy group of people: Z
Vibeeeeeeez. And they lived happily ever after.
