Let's make a deal Adjunct faculty settles new contract for pay raises The
Hatchet reported over the winter break that the University had struck a
deal with adjunct faculty concerning pay raises.

Safety Zone Students push for gay resource center Allied in Pride, the gay, lesbian and transgendered student advocacy organization, is pushing for a resource center on campus much like the one at American University. > The Daily Colonial: "Students discuss proposed LGBTQ resource center" (12/5/07)
The price of a new president Inauguration costs school $250,000 According
to an article in the GW Hatchet, the inauguration for incoming
University President Steven Knapp will cost $250,000. Previously, the Hatchet
mentioned briefly in its issue last Monday that the inauguration would
cost a half-million dollars. The figure was mentioned in the story's
lede, but was not sourced. The latest article said that the figure is
$500,000 less than the usual cost of commencement in the spring.

Where is the love?
Student Association senator plans campaign to stop hate
SA Senator Oghene "O.G." Oyiborhoro (CCAS-U) announced yesterday
a campaign to promte tolerance and diversity at GW in a blast e-mail.
Oyiborhoro, a junior, also started the G.W.F.E.E.D. intiative earlier
this year to raise awareness about homelessness in the district.
