New Page Student Organization Merger Policy

Two student organizations may choose not to renew registration and join together to create one entirely new student organization. In this case, the group will be treated as a new student organization.  The student group will lose budget standing with the Student Association and be treated as a brand new organization. Additionally, all infractions the old groups may have incurred will not roll over into the new group except if there are outstanding invoices that have not been paid. Any outstanding invoices must be paid before the new organization will be able to register.

General Guidelines for Student Organization Mergers:

*A student organization ("Org A") may choose not to re-registere and its members may join an already existing student organization ("Org B"). "A" will not maintain its previous status as an existing organization including areas of finance, suspensions, and privileges, but the members will be a part of the already existing status of "Org B".
* A new student organization's membership and registration materials are subject to review by the Student Activities Center. This review will include examination of individual member history in any and all previous organizations to which he/she belonged.
* An organization may cease to exist according to their constitution. If this is not explicitly mentioned in their constitution, an organization may cease to exist if a letter is provided to the Student Activities Center, signed by all Executive Officers of record. If this organizatsion chooses to return at a later date, after review by the Student Activities Center, they will return with the same status they held at the time of their dissolution.
