Trouble Shooting Tips for Student Org Registration

The Student Activities Center recommends the following tips as ways to manage challenges some orgs may face during the annual registration process...


Challenge: "Not Listed as an Officer" 
Scenario:  When you go to studentorgs.gwu.edu to log in and register your organization, you receive a message indicating that the Student Activities Center does not have your name listed as an officer for your organization.

     Solution: This probably means that your organization held 
     elections at some point in the year and the information about
     the new officers was not recorded with SAC.  Contact your 
     org's advisor or the front desk in SAC at 202-994-6555 to
     make that change. Please have the following information 
     ready:
                 -Officer's Name, Netid and Title

Challenge: "Error Message".
Scenario: You cannot log in to register your organization.

       Solution:There may be a few causes for this. We 
           recommend trying the following:
               -Be sure you are logging in with your Netid, not your 
               full email address (ie: "jsmith " ,    not
                jsmith@gwumail.gwu.edu)
               -Be sure that you are logging in with your personal
               Netid, not the organization's email address.          
              -Please see above information under"Not Listed
               as an Officer".
