Parliamentary Procedure

Parliamentary Procedure:
“Motion” – the question on the floor, being debated
“Friendly Amend” – a change to the motion favored by the person proposing the motion (does not require vote)
“Unfriendly Amend” – a change to the motion not favored by the person proposing the motion (requires a vote)
“Call for the Orders of the day” – clears everything, goes back to most basic issue
“Cessation of Debate” – end debate, bring motion to vote “Point of Information” – to ask a question
“Point of Order” – violation of rules
“Point of Personal Privilege” – if you have a problem (can’t hear etc)
