The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) will host our annual Earth Day celebration on Monday April 21st 2008 on Freedom Plaza, from 10am until 4pm.
* This year’s event, “GREEN DC DAY”, focuses on the wide variety of environmental and energy related information, programs, organizations and services our city has to offer its residents and businesses alike.
* We are also interested in continuing the tradition of using our agency website as a partnership, to build a citywide Earth Day calendar featuring information and direct web links about your Earth Day events.
Please contact one of the following DDOE Communications Office team members if your agency or organization or group is interested in participating in our event as a vendor, sponsor, volunteer or would like to post your event on our website. There is no cost to set up a vendor table.

Registration is now open for the 2008 Washington DC Career Action Summit
Held on the campus of George Washington University, the 2008 Washington DC Career Action Summit will take place on May 24, 2008. This year's theme, "Developing a more Refined Approach to Personal Branding and Career Fulfillment".
Over 60+ employers will be on hand to speak with potential candidates regarding career opportunities within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Social Sector Management Career Opportunity

The Director of Recruitment for The Broad Residency, a nationwide leadership development program which immediately places participants in full-time paid managerial positions in urban school systems while providing professional development and networking opportunities, will be discussing the agency.
In addition, Maia Blankenship, the D.C. Managing Director for Education Pioneers, will be present to discuss their ten-week summer fellowship where graduate students intern with education organizations and train under existing education leaders.
