Case Competitions

At this point in the year, most case competitions have come and gone. Below you'll find went on over this school year and what to look out for next year.

2008 Social Innovation Competition

The RGK Center at the University of Texas at Austin is looking for university students nationwide with ingenious entrepreneurial ideas that will change the world. The RGK Center is asking students to dream up a plan that combines creativity and innovation to tackle a pressing social issue for a chance to win $50,000 and put their plan into action. This is the first year that the competition has been opened to students outside of the state of Texas, and we would appreciate your help in reaching out to students from George Washington University who are interested in social entrepreneurship.

We have just extended the entry deadline to February 15, 2008. Students can enter in just five minutes here: http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/rgk/competition/entryform08.php.

We are very excited about giving students the opportunity to apply the skills they gain in the classroom in a tangible, entrepreneurial setting. I have included below an announcement which may be sent out to students. I look forward to working with you in the future to develop students' interest in social entrepreneurship. If you have any questions regarding the Social Innovation Competition, please contact myself or the Program Coordinator, Heather Alden (heather.alden@mail.utexas.edu).
