GW Net Impact Board



 



PRESIDENT
Giuliana Canessa (gcanessa@gwu.edu)
Responsible for leading the GWU Net Impact Chapter, developing the strategic plan, creating synergies with other GW clubs, schools and external initiatives and advocating for a curriculum review; serves as the main liaison to Net Impact Central, GW faculty advisors and supports general NI activities.

 

EXECUTIVE VP
Nikyia Rogers (ndrogers@gwu.edu)

Supports the board in planning / implementing events and activities; builds relationships with key university figures in promoting the club’s initiatives; acts as proxy for the president when necessary.  Nikyia is chair of the Fundraising committee, coordinates the Summer Internship Fellowship Fund, and participates in the Membership committee.  Nikyia is in GW’s full-time MBA program and will be concentrating in finance and strategic management.


 

VP of COMMUNITY IMPACT
Crystal Irish Rogall (irishc@gwu.edu)

Oversees Service Corps, which partners DC-area MBA students with local nonprofit organizations to provide pro-bono consulting services. Implementing a higher functioning Board Fellows program to provide opportunity for GW students to serve on area nonprofit boards of directors. Coordinates GW Net Impact community service events.



VP of CAREER DEVELOPMENT   
Allison Kolar (akolar@gwu.edu)
Leads and assist other board members in creating career development opportunities for all Net Impact members. Responsible for planning the It's Just Lunch series and the Career Trek. Allison is in the full-time MBA program concentrating in Strategic Management and Public Policy. 

 



VP of ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES -  
David Kocher (dkocher@gwu.edu)
Responsible for campus greening/climate change initiatives. Facilitates dialogue between local organizations, the GW campus, and other organizations to actualize change through environmental projects.  Concerted effort will be focused on completing the first GW green roof project.  David’s concentrations are operations management and environmental policy. 



VP of INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT   Amy Morris (akmorris@gwu.edu)
Focuses on developing partnerships with the International Development community so that GW Net Impact can increase its exposure to challenges and opportunities of international business at a micro and macro level. Seeks opportunities for members to participate in and bring awareness of developing/emerging markets issues to GW. Amy is a joint MA/MBA degree student concentrating in International Business.




VP of INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Violeta Gutierrez (vmgutier@gwu.edu)

Creates, identifies and proposes activities and partnerships to promote participation in GW Net Impact, and facilitates career opportunities in the field aimed at, but not limited to, international students.  Violeta is currently pursuing an MBA in GWU with field of concentration in International Business and Corporate Social Responsibility.

 






TREASURER
Ryan Cheney (rcheney@gwu.edu)

Develops and administers GW New Impact's budget and ensures that the organization remains in good standing with the University. Assists other board members with key priorities as needed.  Ryan is interested in renewable energy project finance and investment.

VP of FINANCE
Jordan Dipietro (jdipietr@gwu.edu)

Oversees the maintenance of GW Net Impact's annual budget and monitors both incoming and outgoing cash flows; keeps current with University financial regulations; assists with fundraising initiatives. Jordan is focusing on International Business with a specialization in emerging markets.


VP of COMMUNICATIONS and ICR LIAISON
Ethan Balis (ebalis@gwu.edu)

Responsible for gathering information on job/internship openings and upcoming events and distributing this information to Net Impact members and GWMBA students through our website and monthly newsletters. Acts as Net Impact's representative to the Institute for Corporate Responsibility by meeting regularly with faculty to integrate the missions of the ICR and Net Impact.

VP of MARKETING
Haviland Rummel (hrummel@gwu.edu)

Creates awareness of the GW Net Impact chapter by promoting events and initiatives. Responsible for increasing membership by marketing the club to both new and existing students. Haviland participates in Service Corps and is concentrating in strategic management and public policy.


MPA LIAISON
Kristen Warms (kwarms@gwu.edu)

Acts as liaison between GW Net Impact and the Public Administration and Policy student body to create collaborative programming around career development, and community initiatives.  Kristen works with the Summer Fellowship fundraising committee, and on other fundraising efforts.

MTA LIAISON
Keith Dokho (kdokho@gwu.edu)

Coordinates with other campus associations, particularly in the MTA program, for increased membership to involve a diverse array of academic concentrations.  Assists with co-hosted student networking opportunities.  Working to develop a foundation for continued partnerships between NI and the MTA program and its organizations. Keith has a concentration in Sustainable Destination Management.
