Join A Committee
You don't have to be on the GWMSA Executive board to be a part of the MSA. The GWMSA welomes anyone who wants to be involved with the MSA. In order to encourage participation, the GWMSA has many commitees for you to choose from. And if you are looking for a board position in the future, what better way to gain experience than joining a committee?
Presidential Council
The Presidential Council consists of members who assist the President. Members will advise the President on MSA policies and goals. Tasks include establishing MSA goals, acting as a liason between the President and the board, informing the President of events the MSA should be aware of, managing the MSA calendar, and writing e-mails on behalf of the President. The General Secretary Taskforce
Help provide Jummah prayer for over 150 people. Members of the General Secretary Taskforce help with the set-up and clean-up of Friday Prayers. Individuals must be free for either set-up (12:15pm), clean-up (2:00pm), or both on Fridays. For more information, or to sign-up, contact gwmsageneralsecretary@gmail.com
Social Events Planning Committee
Put your creativity to use by joining the Social Events Planning Committee. From brainstorming ideas for fun social events to actually participating in them, not only will you get to help the MSA out, you also have the opportunity to meet others all while having a good time. Education Committee
By joining the Education Committee, you have the opportunity to access extensive Islamic knowledge. You will have an opportunity to meet and work with local and national scholars, as work on updating the Musallah library, and help with holding educational gatherings (halaqas).
