Yanique Revers, "Dying"

Dying

She lies awake in her bed
Exfoliating on lily white crinoline sheets.
The sores from your touch burn
Blister.
She shifts in remembrance of you.

Breathing out
In
Carbon by carbon,
Filling up her nostrils and choking,
Caught in her throat a moan.

Your passion-poisoned fruit
Between her ethereal thighs.
Corroded rotting flesh
Out from those bruised lips
Painfully pursed together
The bloody discourse.

She shifts again in remembrance of you.
