Heather Larkin, "Bare"

"Why won't you look into my eyes?"

Eyes reflect pools,

 thoughts, dreams, secrets whirling around.

Bare and intimate

Not to be told, in the mist of this.

"Why do you look sad, you should smile."

Appearances are only a shell,

No one need crack.

Smiles can be deceiving

The pools are clear enough to see

through to the bottom.
