Mallory Howard, "Untitled 11"

It's all just primal screaming now

Unheard

Side to side my head rocks

Reliving those nights

Ridding my cheeks of newly cried tears

Trying

Begging

Hoping the memories fade

And all I'll remember of you

Is the

Good

As usual

I'm the one with the pencil

And the tissue

And the jazz

And the humidity

When is my turn up?

Who's It next?

Cause I'm tiring of this mindless game

So my stomach sits leaden

The butterflies absconded

And my eyelashes flutter and fan

Drying

I'll sit back and see what happens

But this chair isn't all that comfortable

So scream
