| Mission | Our mission for the 2006-2007 school year is to revolutionize the role of the GW student Amnesty International group?s role on campus, within the Washington, DC community and as a part of the broader human rights movement. We will do this through increased visibility achieved by more aggressive publicity efforts and by sponsorship of quality speakers, workshops, and actions. At the same time we are committed to letter writing, the traditional and effective strategy Amnesty International was founded on. We will endeavor to increase the quantity and quality of the letters generated through our weekly meetings and tabling efforts. Underlying all our actions is a desire to see awareness of, respect for, and action in support of human rights on the GW campus increase because we believe that GW has the potential to become a focal point for student action in Washington, DC and a foundation of grassroots support for Amnesty Internationals many global campaigns.
