Alpha Epsilon Pi first established itself on GW’s campus in 1948, and continues to thrive as one of the university’s top social fraternities. 113 brothers strong, the 2008-2009 year saw AEPi welcome 36 mew members, 30 of whom pledged in the fall, and the first annual AEPi Sugar High, a week of philanthropy events to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. When the dust settled, we had collected over $3,000 to assist in Juvenile Diabetes research. In addition, AEPi earned one of the highest fraternity GPAs, and said goodbye to an outstanding class of seniors, some of whom will attend graduate school at Rutgers, Cardoza, GW, Georgetown, and Georgia Southern.

We had a little fun as well this past year, throwing parties around DC at venues including My Brother’s Place, La Tasca, Old Dominion, Eye Bar, and several Dupont Circle bars. Brotherhood is a vital aspect of our fraternity, and because of that, we held several outstanding brotherhood events at Benihana, Maggianos, Cheesecake Factory, and Tony Chang’s, and sponsored a university-wide Laser Tag Tournament held on the Vern.

Our excellence has not gone unnoticed as our chapter is nominated for the International AEPi Chapter of the Year to be awarded at our August Convention in Las Vegas.

We’re excited to build off of last year, and confident the 2009-2010 school year will once again bring great things for AEPi.
