International Affairs Society
Model UN

Model United Nations simulations are designed to teach participants about all the dynamics of international affairs, diplomacy and international organizations that can not be learned by simply reading a book or through traditional academic study. To this day over 200,000 high school and college/university students participate in a Model UN each year. MUN conferences include all the aspects of debate, learning and interaction with a diverse group of people you'd expect, yet it is so much more. The experience is often said to help participants learn more about themselves and the rest of their world. This program is not only a learning experience; MUN conferences offer a great opportunity to travel, meet new people and to grow closer to your peers. Simply put, joining our Model UN team is the most fun you'll have in your four years at GW. The Model UN delegation is an exciting experience where you'll go to great cities, you'll debate, meet great people and have incredible memories to take back home.
