2007 - 2008 GW Tourism for Tomorrow Executive Officers

Natalie Gempesaw-Pangan, President
Takes charge of the strategic direction of the organization, fully guiding and supporting its growth and success. Promotes and represents the organization at all engagements, oversees organizational communications, and liaises with the Department's faculty and staff and the Student Activities Center (SAC). Oversees and delegates as necessary all official activities of the student organization and collaborates with the Executive Board and Membership to plan and organize official events.

Shadows the current President in preparation for taking over the Presidency upon termination of term.

Amanda Charles, Executive Vice President
Supports and assists the President in the growth and success of the organization, stands in for the President in his or her absence, and assists other Executive Officers in all matters of the organization as necessary. Takes charge of operational documentation, assists with organizational communications, liaises with the Department’s faculty and staff as necessary, and schedules conference rooms for events.

Keith Dokho, Executive Treasurer
Manages the organizational accounts and yearly budget,
ensures all financial records and documentation are maintained and submitted by SAC deadlines, and group finances sanctioned according to SAC regulations. Initiates co-sponsorship and fundraising efforts.

VP of Professional Development
Open Position for Fall 2008
Plans and manages professional development events for GW TFT and seeks opportunities to plan co-events and activities with other GW student associations. Seeks and initiates opportunities through such resources as faculty, alumni, the DTHM Leadership Council and local professional associations. Takes charge as required in the absence of other Board members.

VP of Social Events
Open Position for Fall 2008
Plans and manages social events for GW TFT and seeks opportunities to plan co-events and activities with other GW student associations. Initiates sponsorship opportunities with local businesses to generate incentives for Membership. Takes charge as required in the absence of other Board members.

Kanae Tsutsumi, VP of Alumni Relations
Communicates regularly with the Department's GW Tourism Alumni Network (GW TAN). Manages and coordinates activities with GW TAN, the GW TFT VP of Social Events, and the VP of Professional Development. Collaborates with GW TAN on the GW TAN – GW TFT Mentor Program and is the key player in promoting the Mentor Program to current MTA and AMTA students.
Takes charge as required in the absence of other Board members.

Sara Burson, Keith Dokho, and Paige Williams, Student Relations Liaisons
Acts as the face of the organization to on-campus students. Promotes and announces GW TFT events in classes and through postering or handouts. Generates excitement and encourages involvement of Membership and attends social and professional events as able.
Takes charge as required in the absence of other Board members.

Dr. Larry Yu, Academic Advisor
Advises and supports the GW TFT Executive Board in areas where advice and support is seen as necessary by either the GW TFT Executive Board or Academic Advisor.
