About
The G.W. Review is The George Washington University's
national/international literary review. We publish fiction, poetry and
artwork from artists across the nation and, sometimes, the world. We
also give GW students the change to be published in our annual Senior
Contest.
The Review was founded in 1980 by a group of undergraduate students
with the help of G.W. professor David McAleavey. From its beginnings as
a small local publication, the Review has blossomed into a nationally
distributed annual publication. Noteable artists featured in our pages
in the past twenty-five years include Gloria Naylor, Amiri Baraka,
William Stafford, Jean Valentine, E. Ethelbert Miller and Maxine Clair.
The G.W. Review editorial board accepts submissions throughout
the year, although the official reading period runs from September to
April. Please see our Subscriptions page for information on how to
obtain sample issues.
Please note: The Review does not accept email submissions from people within the country;
please see our submissions page for more information on our submissions
policy, or email us with questions: gwreview@gwu.edu.
