Senior Account Executive: CondoAuthority.com

CondoAuthority.com, the most valuable and helpful resource for the new condo buyer of Washington, DC and Baltimore, is hiring a Senior Account Executive.

Job Description:
The Senior Account Executive will develop new business through sales of Premium Listings and other advertising and maintain current and future client relationships. Compensation is tied directly to performance with unlimited earning potential. The Senior Account Executive can work from anywhere with a phone and internet access. Hours are flexible and part time to start before growing into a more full time effort.

The ideal candidate:
- Is experienced and interested in residential real estate and the development of new condominiums in particular.
- Is experienced in sales of online advertising.
- Desires a flexible schedule, but can manage time effectively to accommodate the traditional business hours of clients.
- Is self motivated, pro-active, entrepreneurial and requires little direct supervision.Can effectively engage clients in an ever changing and competitive online advertising environment.
- Is interested in bringing new ideas to the business through learning the desires of clients and site visitors that add value, improve the visitor experience, and grow the business.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new business by selling affordable and cost effective recurring advertising to a potential pool of 300+ properties with additional market coverage planned.
- Coordinate necessary paper work, invoicing and payment collection with help of accounting department.
- Maintain a strong relationship with existing clients by providing requested information and reports as needed.
- Help coordinate special requests of existing clients for event listings, news, etc. that help drive traffic and leads to client properties.
- Help coordinate the improvement and creation of marketing materials to serve as aids in the sales process.

Compensation:
The compensation package will consist of a substantial percentage commission on all sales on an ongoing basis. As properties renew the Account Exec will continue receiving 33% of all advertising revenue thus developing a book of business that can continue to grow. As such the Senior Account Executive will be paid as an independent contractor. Business cards and appropriate supporting marketing materials will be provided. Commissions will be paid upon receipt of payment.

Business Development/Strategic Marketing Intern:

Description:
Politicker.com is seeking self-starting, creative, energetic interns to join our growing online news organization in its most exciting stages. Interns will work as marketers, business developers, and project managers, playing an integral role in the expansion of Politicker.com and its digital properties. Through research and analysis of the online news industry, interns will work to identify and develop successful business and marketing strategies for our site. With the guidance of a supervisor, interns will spend most of their time developing ideas and projects of their choice.

Minimum commitment is 10 hours per week. Because our business is online-based, interns will be permitted to work remotely for part of their weekly time commitment. The internship will be primarily based alongside reporters and editors in Politicker.com's Washington, DC Bureau. This internship is unpaid however academic credit can be arranged in lieu of compensation.

Executive Team Leader/Assistant Store Manager: Target

Description:

As an Executive Team Leader, you will be responsible for one of the following work centers in the store: Logistics, Guest Service, Human Resources, Sales Floor, Food or Assets Protection. You will have three major areas of responsibility: team member management, store leadership and community service. In addition, you will be involved in recruiting and hiring, orientation and training, counseling and coaching, and on-the-job support of your team.

Executive Team Leaders are responsible for driving sales by overseeing the guest service and merchandising of two to three departments with sales ranging from $2 - $9 million. You will be responsible for floor leadership during the hours of operation, as well as opening and closing the store on assigned days. You will ensure great service by interacting with guests and team members. And you will strive to achieve sales goals and maintain budget controls.

Skills Required:
- 4 year college degree, all majors are encouraged to apply

- Proven conflict management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with great interpersonal skills

Description:
As a Store Executive Intern, you will work in all areas of the store: Logistics, Human Resources, Assets Protection, Guest Service, and Sales floor. In addition, you will have the opportunity to select a special project that allows you to focus on one area of a leader's responsibilities within the store. Through this comprehensive training program, you will gain a significant knowledge base, and have the opportunity to make an impact in a Target Store as an executive in training and project leader. In addition, you will work closely with team members and members of the senior leadership group.

You will return to school having strengthened your leadership and project management skills. You will learn about what it means to work in Retail and gain a better understanding about the opportunities Target has to offer.

Description:
Business-Community Synergies (BCS) is a small, dynamic company providing specialized services in corporate-community relations to industry, non-governmental organizations and the public sector. We work with companies in the energy and extractive sectors, among others, to develop positive, mutually beneficial relationships in the communities where they work. Our clients include Chevron, Oxfam America, Rio Tinto, and The World Bank. BCS operates through an international network of consultants who bring their extensive experience and insight to our work.

We provide the following services: Community-Company Assessments (CCA), Action Research and Analysis, Training and Tools Development, and Reviews and Assessments of technical documents and community engagement strategies. The Community-Company Assessment is an inductive tool, unique to BCS, and is the foundation of all BCS work. Our methodology is guided by the following four principles.

- Respecting stakeholders’ knowledge, logics and languages.
- Mapping power relations to understand the interactions between local power structures and actors such as donors, corporate and civil society organizations.
- Understanding contextual characteristics shaped by history, current problems, diversities and resistances in order to understand their relative influence.
- Assessing community and company capacities for change to create shared understanding.

BCS is looking for two graduate students to assist with project contracts and business development during the summer of 2008. BCS associates are located around the world, and networked electronically. The intern would work primarily at BCS’s Rockville office but could also work at his or her desired location with electronic and face-to-face communication as needed. Previous interns have contributed to the BCS report for The World Bank, " The Potential for Community Development Foundations in Resource-Abundant Countries: A Window of Opportunity for Madagascar" (October 2007) and other reports on corporate-community relationships.
