Generic Theatre Company has been a registered student organization of The George Washington University since 1985. It was founded by Beth Prather and Liz McCollogh, who sought to create a group where people who were interested in theatre, but were not necessarily theatre majors, could produce quality theatre and have fun doing it. As GW's oldest and largest student performance group, Generic's mission is to provide fun, interesting, and relevant theatre to the GW community.
