Upcoming Events!

Need more FPP in your life? Here’s what we’ll be up to and where you can find us.

Welcome Week Student Performance Showcase

Where: Betts Theater, followed by Meet and Greet with Coffee and Desserts in Columbian Square

When: Monday, September 1 at 8 pm

Why: If you have any interest in performing arts at GW, you should definitely be at this incredible event, featuring acts by a cappella groups, student theater groups (including FPP) and more!

What else you need to know: It's the first day of classes, so you have no reason to be studying yet. And it's a Monday. Do you really have plans on a Monday?

Annual Student Organization Fair

Where: University Yard and Kogan Plaza

When: Tuesday, September 2 from 7-9 pm

Why: Didn't feel like waking up early at CI to go the org fairs? That's okay, now they're holding them again. And sleeping in is no excuse when they're after dinnertime.

What else you need to know: Not a freshman? Come anyway. There's usually free food.

FPPalooza

Where: Marvin Center Room 310

When: Sunday, September 7 at 8 pm

Why: Calling this a general body meeting would hardly do it justice. FPPalooza features lots of free food, a chance to meet the FPP’s fabulous board and body, and everything you ever wanted to know about how to get involved with us.

What else you need to know: Free food is a great way to save on your GWorld money! It totally doesn't seem like a big deal now, but you'll thank us later.

AUDITIONS: The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Where: Lisner Downstage

When: Monday, September 8 & Tuesday, September 9 at 9 p.m.

Why: Rocky Horror is a GW tradition, we want you to be a part of it. Whether you're a freshman looking to get involved in your first show or a senior looking to try new things, Rocky Horror provides an unforgettable experience for the audience and the cast and crew.

What else you need to know: Please come prepared with a song to sing a cappella and leave your inhibitions at the door.

AUDITIONS: The Skin of Our Teeth

Where: Lisner Downstage

When: Monday, September 15 & Tuesday, September 16 @ 9 p.m.

Callbacks Wednesday, September 17 @ 9 p.m.

Why: Thornton Wilder's classic play is a timeless commentary on the ability of human spirit to overcome disasters and unimaginable obstacles. It's also FPP's only straight play of the semester.

What else you need to know: The Skin of Our Teeth is directed by FPP's Executive Director, Katherine Nelson.

AUDITIONS: Musical Audition Extravaganza!

Where: Lisner Downstage

When: Monday, September 22 & Tuesday, September 23 @ 9 p.m.

Callbacks Wednesday, September 24 @ 9 p.m.

Why: Two shows. One audition. This is your chance to try out for both bare and Godspell. If you have a preference, you are free to audition for just one show, or do both at once!

What else you need to know: Please come prepared with a song to sing a cappella and wear comfortable clothes that you can dance in.
