Fall 2009 Executive Board

Benjamin Pollack (Executive Producer) is a senior from Pennsylvania majoring in Finance and International Business and minoring in Psychology. This is his fourth year working with FPP and is he is very excited to continue his role as Executive Producer.Ben has worked on over 20 student theater productions and is so happy that student theatre has been such a big part of his life at GW.If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact him.

Katherine Nelson (Executive Producer) is a senior from Kentucky majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theatre. This is her fourth year working with FPP and her third year on FPP's board. She is absolutely thrilled to be Co-Ep for another year!! Katherine has lots of acting/directing credits...ask her if you really care. Katherine adores her FPPhamily and doesn't know what she would do without them, especially her fiance and fellow EP, Ben. She can't wait to suck more people into the wonderful, soul-stealing world of student theatre!

Katharine Crnko (Artistic Director) was born a poor black child with no rhythm. Since her birth she has faced tremendous obstacles, including absolutely no drawing skills, an inability to write in cursive, and post-pubescent child baring hips. In facing all of her obstacles Katharine has found solace at George Washington, both in the School of Media and Public Affairs and with Forbidden Planet Productions. Her sophomore year she performed in the Rocky Horror Picture Show as Magenta, and Company as Sarah, and her junior year she performed in Godspell and bare: a pop opera. She is looking forward to fulfilling her duties as Artistic Director for the 2009-2010 seasons. Katharine Crnko is an avid fan of emails, especially with questions from perspective FPP body members. If you are interested in auditioning for, directing, teching, or coming to a show, please feel free to email Katharine at kcrnko@gwmail.gwu.edu.

Ellen Barr (Business Manager) is [somehow] a senior with very little interest in Psychology, but tons of interest in Math and being from Minnesota. She has been active in FPP since her freshman year, and has been typecast in almost every show she has been in since--including Dog Sees God (a Gossip Girl) and Angels in America (Homeless and Psychotic). In addition to wearing her bright blue RPM t-shirt at the New Hall Key Depot this summer, Ellen worked as an intern to the Artistic Director of Journeymen Theater Ensemble in Dupont Circle. She gets by with a little help from her friends, a Grande Caramel Macchiato, and text message live blogging. She is excited for one final year of late night shows, early morning tech-ins, and becoming best friends with the people at Starbucks and WOW Wingery to survive eight more weeks in the Lisner Downstage.

John Goben (Tech Director), a PoliSci or PoliComm sophomore (not sure, yet) and Svenn Miller (Tech Assistant), and International Studies and Geography junior want to make known to the world the hostile environment in which they live. This is an excerpt from an e-mail they received on the 9th of June, 2009: "Okay, Tech Directors/Tech AP, I know that you have a cute little tradition of never sending me website bios ever, but it's getting less cute by the year. Seriously, send me your bios bitches." (see Shaina Lamchick, Publicity Director). John continues to survive day-by-day only because "this boy has religion" while Svenn turns to lemonade. It's almost an obsession. Shout-out to our POWMIAs - Stephanie Landry in France and Sarah Ingraham in Chicago.

Shaina Lamchick (Publicity Director), a Political Science and Women’s Studies major, began her time with FPP as an overeager freshman three years ago, dazzling student theater with her excessive peppiness and total lack of coordination. Now in her final year at GW, she is incredibly excited to once again serve as Facebook Stalker Extraordinaire, Kinko’s Liaison, and 4 am Postering Expert for her very favorite group of people. Shaina has appeared in seven FPP productions and loves her FPPhamily, ice cream, and multicolored highlighters.

Krystal Brun (Associate Producer) is a junior from Oscoda Michigan majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering! *clap* In real life, she enjoys being serenaded, monument tours, postering for shows at 4:00AM, and kite-flying.

Blake Eisenberg (AssociateProducer) is asophomoreat GW majoring in Business Administration. He has participated in a few FPP productions including bare: A Pop Opera, Dog Sees God and FPP's Musical Cabaret. He cannot wait to become more involved in this student organization. For some reason the "Bare Call" was just not enough for him.

Ian Frazier (Associate Producer)is a sophomore from South Jersey who is probably majoring in Psychology with a minor in French (even though he continues to slaughter the language whenever he speaks it). After using his thesaurus, Ian has decided he is exultant at joining the FPP board. He could not have gotten a better pair of Executive Producers to work under. As far as involvement goes he was in FPP’s fall ’08 production of bare and assistant directed the spring ’09 production of Dog Sees God. After having the chance to participate in all three of GW’s student theater groups during his freshman year, he is confident in using his word of the day calendar to say that FPP is nonpareil in its sheer fantasticness.

Jen Gorfine (Associate Producer) was dubbed “mini-Shaina” at her first ever FPP audition (see Shaina Lamchick, Publicity Director). Since then, she has proudly danced around in a corset and fishnets as a trannie in the Rocky Horror Picture Show and has, by frequenting performances at the Lisner Downstage, experienced MANY intense theater moments from waaaaay too close up. This sophomore is a diehard New Yorker as well as a Communication snob— major, she means.

Daniel Kaufman (Student Theater Council Liason) is a sophomore majoring in Music and Public Health. FPP adopted this little lamb in the Fall of 2008 after the production of bare and is ecstatic to work both on the FPP board and Student Theater Council.

Kate Meroski (Associate Producer)is a sophomore at GW majoring in Sociology. She is wicked excited to be inFPP, and had an amazing time with them performing in Rocky Horror in Fall ’08 - now see her choreograph it in ‘09!!She is equally excited to be working under Katherine Crnko, who she is surewill teach her some ridiculous things. When she's not devoting her life to FPP,you can see her performing with Balance: The GW Ballet Group. She is epically happy to be on the board, and encourages everyone to audition for everything!

Elyse Steingold (Associate Producer) is a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia. She is psyched to be on FPP's board after participating in the 3rd annual Musical Cabaret and The Full Monty (for one week)! Elyse is a Theatre major and is considering picking up a second major in order to be employed at some point in her life. She is considering Archaeology...which doesn't really solve the problem. She looks forward to swiping into the Downstage and hopes everyone becomes involved with FPP!
