Home > About FPP > FPP on Campus

FPP prides itself on being an upstanding member of the GW community. As a student orginization, we are active on campus in many ways, several of them beyond the basic scope of our productions. We try to contribute to every facet of GW life in whatever way we are able, and our contributions are frequently recognized with cosponsorships and other accolades:
  • FPP regularly performs at various campus events, partnering with other student organizations, the university, and community programs. In the past several years, FPP has regularly participated in fall's Welcome Week Student Performance Group Showcase, and Colonial Inauguration Student Theatre Showcases.
  • FPP was honored in 2009 and in 2006 to be nominated for an Excellence Award for Performing Arts Group of the Year. The Excellence Award is the highest recognition bestowed on a student organization by the Student Activities Center. FPP was nominated and approved by a committee of student group advisors based on the high quality of our productions, our contributions to campus and the community, and the high regard of our audience members.
  • FPP members are involved in more than just student theater. FPP actors, directors, and board members are regularly involved with the directing projects, senior theses,  and Dance Works through the Department of Theater and Dance, and numerous choral and operatic appearances with the Deptartment of Music. In past, FPP members have performed in mainstage plays and musicals as well.
