A Note About Co-Sponsorships:
EIGHT different Co-sponsorship opportunities exist at GW both programatically and financially.
Programmatic Co-Sponsorships
Programmatic Co-Sponsorships provide student organizations with opportunities to participate in the planning of an event with another student organization or department and typically do not involve the exchange of funds between the two organizations. Instead, they might involve the experience of event planning and working with staff, while gaining organization exposure/promotion as a result. Student organizations are invited to participate in the following co-sponsorship opportunities through the Student Activities Center:
· Midnight Breakfast
· Stress Free Zone
Financial Co-Sponsorships
Financial Co-sponsorships involve student organizations requesting funding in writing from funding sources. They typically do not involve the collaborative planning experience of a Programmatic Co-sponsorship. Funds may be requested from the following groups listed below. For more information about each funding entity's requirements, please click on one of the links below:
Organization officers can access the online co-sponsorship form through their organization information by logging-in to the Student Org portal, using your NetId and Password.
Log in here with your personal NetID to manage your organization.
Your organization's NetID will not work with this system.
In order to request co-sponsorship you must first create and/or select the upcoming event and activity for which you are requesting money. The co-sponsorship request option cannot be accessed until the event and activity is created through the "Do This" tab on the very top of the main studentorgs.gwu.edu website page.
Co-sponsorship requests for all above-listed seven funding organizations are handled through the online request form. Each organization has different requirements for sponsorship, so please pay careful attention to that. All requests for funding should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event date Please DO NOT request co-sponsorship from an organization if you do not meet their co-sponsorship criteria.
Once the co-sponsorship request is complete, you may check back to review the status of your request. After a decision is made, an email will be sent to your organization account, indicating the co-sponsoring organizations decision.
