The Conflict Resolution Forum works in collaboration with a variety of schools, organizations, and individuals to provide a dynamic and diverse series of lectures, discussion, and conference for those interested in the field of Conflict and Conflict Resolution.

ACADEMIC ADVISING & ADVOCACY

The Conflict Resolution Forum seeks to promote the study, discussion, and profession of the relatively new field of Conflict Resolution. As the largest area of concentration for both undergraduate and graduate students in International Affairs at the Elliott School, the CRF seeks to advocate for the students, the program, and the field. The CRF is available to all students interested in Conflict and Conflict Resolution for academic and professional advice related to the field. The CRF is designed to create the most robust and rewarding educational experience for Elliott School students that utilizes all resources available in the nation's capital.

PROMOTING FILM, FORUM & FUN

The Conflict Resolution Forum builds community between students, academics, and professionals in and around the Washington D.C. The CRF capitalizes upon the wealth of backgrounds and expertise available through a number of partnership with organizations and universities. The CRF builds the academic, social, professional, and inter-campus relationships through a number of partnerships, events, fun, and film.

Announcing the NEW Conflict Resolution Journal

A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Conflict Resolution Journal is calling for submissions on all topics related to Conflict/Conflict Resolution which fit the following specifications:
  • Opinion/Editorial briefs on current issues related to conflict and its resolution (750-1000 words)
  • Feature articles on all aspects of conflict resolution, from community mediation to international peace building (1500-2500 words)
  • Research articles describing cutting edge work in the field of conflict resolution (3000-4500 words)

For student submissions, please use endnote citations in MLA or Chicago style if needed. Submissions that exceed the word requirements outlined above will be returned for revision by the author or revised directly by the Editor. The Editor will consult with authors on all revisions.

Previously published articles must have the requisite permission for publication in the Conflict Resolution Journal prior to submission. The author assumes all responsibility and liability for submitted articles.

Submissions are received on a rolling basis and are uploaded to the Journal’s database. Papers will be advertised once through the CRF list-serve; they will be accessible through the CRF website for the entirety of the academic semester of submission.

All submissions must be sent in both PDF and Word formats.
