Large Donation from Walter Johnson!

This Saturday, February 27th the
Books for Africa Student Organization received one of the largest donations it has seen in months.  The Walter Johnson High School donated all of its books left over from their book sale to our student organization.

“We probably received over 4,000 books” Emily Narkis, Project Coordinator for Books for Africa, stated at the end of the drive.

“This is far more books than I was expecting!” exclaimed Executive Board President, Rudy Perecin Mareno, “I have not seen these many books since our May Bookdrive, I am very pleased.”

The donation of books included children’s books, novels, textbooks, science journals, and numerous language course books.

The official and final count of books collected will be released at the next General Meeting.
