Performances by Capitol Funk, VOI, Shiluv, The Pitches, Nikki Lane, Brandon H. and the GW Mentors!
This
year BLAZEN Hot Foods was a wonderful night of performances and
delicious cuisine provided by Colonial Catering. The BLAZEN Dancers
opened the show with a wonderful hiphop piece. Brandone and Nikki aka
N-Deep blessed our stage with knowledge in the form of poetry.
Shiluv, The Pitches, and VOI filled the ballroom with glorious music.
Capitol Funk worked themselves and the audience out with their tight
dance moves. John Muller and the GW Mentors showed us that age doesnt
matter when it comes to expressing thoughts through poetry.
Thanks to Colonial Catering, DSC Grant, SA, Marvin Center Governing
Board, and the MSSC for provided the necessary support to carry out
this event.
BLAZEN Hot Food 2004
BLAZEN Hot
Food enables students to have a night of multicultural dinner and
entertainment. This event features cuisine from the Thai,
Caribbean, African American (Soul Food), and Latino cultures.
Our
fall 2003 dinner featured performances from Voices of Inspiration,
Think Tank Revolution and non-profit organization Culture Shock Dance
Troupe. VOI filled the Continental Ballroom with gospel music
while Think Tank Revolution spit poetry that made you say "hmmm".
Culture Shock mixed hip-hop with dance to create an eclectic dance
piece. BLAZEN completed the night performing "Diversity High" a skit about racism and discrimination.
