About Us
What is BLAZEN?
Everyday
youth strive to create a positive image and identity, while dealing
with the challenges of poverty, violence, substance abuse, sexual
identity, racism, and negative portrayals of youth in the media.
BLAZEN
is a performing arts troupe whose members take ideas that emerge from
real life situations, then transform them into original, issue based
poerty, dramas, song and dance. These pieces and their positive
messages are then relayed to the community through performances in
various arenas. BLAZEN addresses youth's struggle to successfully
navigate adolescence and become responsible productive, and successful
adults.
BLAZEN
also allows people with a variety of talents to come together
and share their talents in a comfortable environment. BLAZEN
provides its member with performance opportunities and means of
individual growth.
