The Student Activities Center continually seeks ways to honor and recognize the great work done by GW's student organizations. Listed below are just a few of the many ways organizations can receive recognition.

The Spotlight Award: In an effort to support and recognize student organization accomplishments the Student Activities Center, Mount Vernon Campus Life, and the Marvin Center highlights and awards a student organization or student organization event each month. Throughout the academic year six organizations receive monthly Spotlight recognition.  Each of these recipients is eligible for the annual Spotlight awarded at excellence.

Excellence Awards: An annual tradition to honor excellence in student life.   Awards are distributed in several categories including: Student Organization of the Year, Individual Excellence, and Community Service.  The ceremony is held in April and nominations are collected early in the Spring Semester.
