Looking for ways to get involved at GW but not sure how to sort through all your options?!?!?
One of the great things about being a student at GW - whether undergraduate or graduate student - is that there are many ways to get involved outside the classroom! From being a leader in a student organization to attending events in the city, to helping incoming freshmen have a great GW experience, you are bound to find the right fit for you. Listed below are just some of the options that exist. If you don’t find something for you on this list, feel free to call the Student Activities Center and ask to speak with a Student Involvement staff member!

§ Go on a TRAiLS trip – hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, oh my!
§ Attend a SASS & the City event – one a month starting in September!
§ Become a trained facilitator for the SUMMIT Low Ropes Course at the Mount Vernon Campus
§ Work as a Student Coordinator in the Student Activities Center (ongoing)
§ Apply to be a Colonial Cabinet Member! (September)
§ Apply to be a Peer Leadership Mentor (September)
§ Apply to be a Siblings Coordinator for CI (October)
§ Volunteer to be on a planning committee for
Welcome Week, Midnight Breakfast, Welcome Back Week,
Excellence in Student Life Awards, or Grad Week! (On-going)
§ Go Greek! (Panhellenic Recruitment is September 11-15, 2009, IFC Rush is September 14-October 3, 2009 and Multicultural Greek Council Week is sometime in early-mid September)
§ Be a Campaign Manager for a student leadership position election (November - April)
§ Apply to be a Co-Curricular Program Guide! (Experience DC, Project Exploration, Community Building Community) (January)
§ Apply to be a House Proctor or House Scholar or start a Living and Learning Cohort!
